Made it to Bethany... only one bass but it went for a new pattern that we tied. No name yet. For now calling it, the Purple Marabou and Orange Thing... simple pattern, simple tie!

Curious is anyone knows if there is anything in that little pond right off east Campbell and shiloh.. saw someone fishing there today, but too much wind for me to stop and give it an honest try.

Recap of the past few days to include a Sunfish and a Bass at Bethany Lakes this evening that took the PMOT pattern... simple pattern that uses two marabou plumes and orange tying thread. Quick Update - April 17, 20118

Once this wind dies down ill stop over there and fish it well. Iíll give an honest report on here, when someone on the bank asks me whati caught, iíll always just say one or two unless i didnt catch anythig. Just because iíve had too many people stand right next to me after and start fishing. Which, i donít mind if they arenít using salt water surfcasters with weights and some crappie rubber worms. (We should start a thread about the funny stuff we see)

That being said, how many people see others using a spinning reel upside down?

Today is my daughter's birthday. I got her up with a surprise present this morning and had one of the best morning's we've had together in a while. After I dropped her off at school I decided to hit a local pond since I had a few hours to burn before heading into work.
This was the icing on the cake, so to speak. Caught this beast on a Spro popping frog at 8:15am. I'm sure glad I had my frogging rod lol. She weighed in at 5lb and 2oz. Yes I have the pic to prove it.

Nice catch Bankbassin! Where did you catch it? What lure? I need GPS if thats cool...... LOL! We need to
to go fishing in the kayaks when this wind gives us a break again I know a great spot we can check out at Ray Hubbard that I have been keeping quiet about. Probably hit it up after the Lavon kayak bass tournament in May. Iíll let you know but Iím hoping for the 26th of May if the weather plays nice.

Haha I saw that for the first time yesterday at Lavon. Some young high school kids fishing on the bank. I nearly fell out of my yak from laughing. Its all good though. At least they are out enjoying the outdoors and having fun!

I was using this lure -

Just kidding. You already know where I caught it and what on. Let's see about getting the yaks out this weekend. Otherwise, I'm banking it up again to look for more of them big girls.
