Just a question, or poll.
Coming from the Dallas area, what is the closest saltwater.
Time wise. I know Corpus/Port A is around 5.5 to 6 hrs.
Just wondering.
Thanks in advance!

Just thinking maybe there is something I'm not seeing. Looks like the Texas City Dyke is going to be the closest.

Actually Baytown will be the closest salt water to you . But unless you have a boat not much to fish around baytown . Then you have seabrook , kemah , clearlake , Baycliff . Then the Texas City Dyke area , then galveston area.

Hotrod, I've driven from the metroplex to pretty much every fishing port & beach along the TX coastline - Galveston is the closest saltwater fishing you'll get to by any measure (time, distance etc).

FREEPORT GUYS, C'mon. One hour longer than Galveston. I can make it from Lewisville to my motel in Lake Jackson pulling my Triton 2486 in 4.5 hours.
