Anyone have any experience with at 797 si on a trolling motor mount? Does it work good there?

I don't have any experience but my thoughts are that's a pretty good sized transducer to be putting on a TM. I would be worried about damaging it in shallow water or bouncing it off of a stump. It's not the cheapest one on the market to be replacing. You would also have to be aware of the direction your TM is pointing to make sure you are understanding what is being displayed on the unit. It would be cool to do a 360 degree panoramic view.

I've run it all year and has been a grat assest. I can credit a Top 10 Finish in the FLW Stren Championship to it. You can tell mu final two days performance was horrible one I had to use the sponsor boats without Side Imagin.

That is the toughest transducer. I pound my way around a shallow cypress knee filled bayou on the Tenn-Tom Waterway and never had a problem and it hit numerous cypress knees and underwater logs.
