Im going to buy a new jigging reel in the near future and was wondering which one would be best to get a shimano torium or a tyrnos?

The Torium is the better choice mainly because of it's drag and it's faster gear ratio.

But one is a star drag and the other is a lever so make sure you know that.

However, the Daiwa Saltist is still a better reel than both of those that you listed and is in your price range.

Man have you ever thrown jigs with one? Amazing!

Sides the only problems Saltists have are pait jobs and weak drags for big big fish. However, you can upgrade the drags so that's not a worry.

They are very smooth and very fast which is what you want in a jib setup.

I have a Trinidad 30 on a Calstar 700M that I am considering selling. It's a pretty good jigging setup.
