Current Situation:
Seis Tuna has been rescheduled for Friday-Sunday, Feb.1st-3rd, 2008
Re-schedule Date:
Please post if this date fits your plans and if not, start looking to sell your spot as it is the responsibility of each person to sell their spot if they can't make the re-schedule.

One open spot
We still have one open spot as the total paid is 24 right now. If interested, please contact us by email at too@outdoorstexas.com or by calling (210)215-3877 to take the last spot.
Summary:

If you can't make the Feb.1st-3rd dates, please inform us at the email address above or by posting here, but you need to find a buyer for the spot.
T.O.O. will assist as much as possible to find replacements for those that need to sell their spot on the new dates.
Email sent to the Seis Tuna group with further information for everyone to consider.
The tuna are out there as the last few trips had produced limits or near limits for the DSH boats. Just need a window that allows folks to get out there and catch them!
Let's get the ball rolling to to find replacements and see who else can go on Feb. 1st-3rd, 2008.

Got the messages from Gimme and Bazz about those spots spots for sale, as well as NTF's email about another spot.
Right now we have 22 spots confirmed/tentatively accounted for and 3 spots we are waiting on answers on whether they are committing to the new dates.
So if the three last folks do stay on with the new dates and the three "for sale" spots do get bought and the last open spot is taken as were told would happen, the charters would be full.
Anyone interested in joining the Seis Tuna charters, we figure that there might be up to 4 spots being open if those that had contacted us about buying a spot do not commit or if any the last three spots we are waiting to hear from do not commit.
We will post if any spots do come open from this point on if they do so, but right now we know of only one possible spot open as of now. That might change, so if you to be on standby, please call us at (210) 215-3877 or email us at too@outdoorstexas.com

Willie, HAHA ...i know you are joking about being out there in that fishing. if they are calling for 9-11 then you know for sure every 3rd or 4th wave is 14. we would have to strap ourselves to rail to stay on our feet while we fished.

how about some info about where yhe yellowfin are. i would like to hit them hard in my boat but im limited to about 225 mi. unless i take extra fuel. if ya'll go to any lighted deep water rigs closer than 80 mi. i'd sure like to find thier location .......lets kill some some fish mitch hardmah 512 299 7284

Howdy captainmitch,

We will be targeting Yellowfin at the floaters, all of which would be a little out of your range. They're out of my range too, which is the reason I'm going on Seis Tuna. I believe there is one open slot if you would care to join us.

There are three floaters about 135 miles out of Port Aransas and another one down south that's about 165 miles from Port A. We will no doubt pick among these.

Yellowfin occasionally stray into areas a little closer but not often.

What's your usual port of departure?

captain Mitch. Welcome!! look for the shrimp boats out of Port A this summer... 200' depth range is what I remember being the secret for the tuna at the shrimp boats.

Problem with shrimpers, you have to be there normally really early to catch them culling. They normally go to sleep after 9-10 in the morning. When we headed in from Gunnison, we needed some ice and were going to trade ice for beer, but they were all asleep after that time. We couldn't get a single one on the radio.

That means leaving really early and running in the dark most of the way out. Unless your experienced and have good electronics with radar, not really that advisable.

So is mos tof the group still planning on Captians quarters?
I remade our reservation for next thurs.
