If she'd have been a SAL you could've had a replica for free! \:o

Sorry Billy, that was just too good a target. There goes my guide trip \:\(

NAW !!!!!

She's still the biggest I've put in the boat.
Seeing all those pictures of her at the show..

It made me think about a plastic body double..

It was sure good meeting you and your son.
A fine looking young man, you can tell
he loves the sport. Your a very lucky Dad sir..

James are you gonna try and make a re:con trip to Fork
on Feb 9th or 10th... I was looking back at some pictures
of last year, and we were doing very good in my back yard
that time of month..

Billy

Hey Billy, next time you are out here, go by and talk to Jason or Clayton Pierce at Lake Fork Taxidermy, they do excellent work. You can come by and check out my replica they did.

Terry Covington. I heard he works for Ricky's Outpost (formerly Backwoods Taxidermy) now. It is in Little Elm off Hwy 380. Mine from Terry Covington has been accused of being a skin mount.

Adam, thanks.

Man, that looks very good.
Mine has that same huge belly, I want
it to be there in the mount too.

Only 12.1 lbs, but I liked Her.

Wow, what a great fish. I was lucky enough back in 95 to catch a fish about that same size. Nothing better than catching a fish with eyes as big as silver dollars and a mouth big enough to put both of your fists in.
Congratulations.

Bob, thats just another one of Billy and Kay's pet fish. He just whistles and they jump in the boat.

Buda .... I wish it was that easy..
Out of all that time on the water, we only got 4-Overs in
the boat.. Dang sure lost some good fish too. I had one that was 10.67lbs in a Media competition that was and 1/8 inch short..
Man, that's a killer.

Bob she was 24.750 L x 23.375 W @ 12.1 lbs
I'll tell Kay you said Howdy ...

Thanks guys, I hope a replica can duplicate how she looked.
If and when Kay catches a double digit fish, I'll have a double
mount made. That will look good at the Lake house..

Billy

LOL, If Kay catches one that big (or bigger) your mount will be relegated to the garage to make room for hers!
12.1 and 3/4" over the high side of the slot, that had to be one thick fish!
Way to go, Billy-boy!

Edited by Bob Smith (01/17/08 03:54 PM)
Edit Reason: fat fingers turned Billy's fish into a 21 pounder!

Covington is in Lake Dallas I believe. He did most of the mounts at Sportsman Warehouse and does excellent work with the hardware to back it up. Many of the shops in the area have him do their work.

Nice Fish.

BassLikeMe had a 12 pounder replica done a few years ago from a bass he caught on Ray Roberts.

Maybe he will chime in here
