Is the barge at the state park any good? I'm assuming it's not very good if you're wanting to check out the barge at Lynn Creek.

I did better at the fishing pier in the mornings in the state park using minnows and tube jigs around the rip-rap, this was towards the end of the spawn ,late march early june, you can just imagine how the spawn bite was.

lloyd park is great for the spawn, you can just walk around the bank and catch them in a foot of water or less.

from 20 take the great southwestern blvd. exit and go south . past the resedential district a little ways and it will have a split , stay on the right and follw that rd. past camp wisdom keep going straight till you see a bridge ( the marina is on the left by the oasis restuaraunt before crossing bridge )

thanks, i have enough jigs to last me a lifetime. too many in fact. but if you could keep me updated on the hot colors that would be great.

how are you working the jig? in the winter i have the best luck keeping the jig as still as possible. are you tipping the jig?

i dont keep it as still as most of the jiggers there i normally move it alittle more no its just a jig without a nibble or minner or anything

its pretty bad IF you dont know the right way to fish it, it can be productive if you take the right approach, ive had tons of success free lining live bait over the hydrilla and weeds, and letting the minnow swim right above the surface in the barge this is a great way to get some nice size LMB as far as crappie go the only time its even worth it is the rare times the crappie school in there, which they do from time to time, but in all seriousness the LMB bite can be very good if you go with a lil patience and some knowledge and background of the area \:\) also the black bass and catfish have been bitin pretty good to
