ive had most my luck with a water melon red tube or worm on the side of rock cliffs. very slow, use as light of line u can, this is a pretty clear lake and they are line shy. i use 6-8 pound mono. i usually fish where the perdnalis river comes in the lake.

hope that helps some

This lake is fun but and be tough..
Rocks, Docks, and like bduni said, lake is clear so be cautious of lure and line choice.

Tubes, Cranks, Senkos and always, Tubes!

Good Luck !

do you fish the tube weedless, or with the hook sticking out.

FYI...You will get a lot more answers after the FOM Bass tournament on January 26th..Most anglers right now are keeping it a secret...

It is an open bass tournament.
Details at:
http://www.fomntt.com/schedule.php?id=1522

However, Lake Travis held the FLW bass tournament last February. Most fish were caught on drop-shot or small grubs/jigs fished in 30-40 feet of water, near schools of bait.

Good Luck..

I am on http://www.austinbassfishing.com too.. under "Ranger_R77"

I seriously doubt that the FLW guys or anybody else want to fish Travis again. But its probably fun for the weekender.
