On Saturday Feb. 23rd. Bass Bro Shops in Garland will be holding a BATTLE OF THE BASS CLUBS, tournament.

This is how it works.

Entry FEE is $150 per CLUB you can have from 5 to unlimited number of
boats. You will have 2 club members per boat as
a TEAM.

We will pay back 1 for every 5 clubs after 10 clubs (so at 15 we will pay back 4 places)
If under 15 it will be
1st. 50%
2nd. 30%
3rd. 20%

EXP. on 10 teams

1st. $750
2nd. $450
3rd. $300

Your top 5 teams in your club go toward the total point standing.
Point value will be..Your places = your points 1st =1 2nd =2 3rd= 3 and so the team with the lowest score with there first 5 teams WINS after your First Five have added up you get no more points till every team has there top FIVE added. A zero =+1 of the highest score after the last weighed in team.

Tourny Hours are First Flight safe light then we will let go at a timely manner there after. Every club will have the same number of Boats in the First flight.
Weigh in will start with first flight at 3:30 and every 10 minutes per flight after that.
You will get to pick you Teams you want in each Flight, so use strategy.

The winning club will get there name on a PLAQUE that will be put up in BASS PRO GARLAND.

Also ALL club memebers that fish the tourny will get a 10% on select items ( I will get more info)

Bass Pro Shops will give a gift card to the winning club starting at $100 and will grow as they and I get donations.

This will start being a annual event and will give one club BRAGGING rights for a year with a nice plague, to show for it.

Last but not least. If you have a uneven number of fisherman, you will be allowed to have a ONE MAN TEAM, we are doing this so we don't have to exclude any bass club.

Okay, so logistically how is the lake selected and when will they disclose the location. Will they close the water before the tournament and if so will they have practice days. The reason I ask is many clubs already have their schedule out for the lakes they will fish and we have to make sure our scheduled lake for that month will not conflict with the rules of this tournament.

Great concept, too bad it is the same day as the NorthEast Federation tournament which affects a lot of local clubs like Century Bass and others.

will the winning money goto the club or individuals fishing?

Yeah, guess it has to be on a weekend that some clubs are fishing no matter what... last weekend of the month is usually Texas Poormans T's, otherwise, I know we'd participate, it's a cool concept.

Money go to the clubs. Since the CLUB is paying for it.

It will be on LAKE RAY HUBBARD this year since Bass Pro Shops Garland is putting it on that may change next year.

Off limits will start on WEDNESDAY February 20th at 3PM.

I may get my old club back togethor for this.

I will try to get 2 teams together from these 2 clubs.

I am pretty sure Casey will get on here to tell more.. but I believe you need 5 boats,9 people minimum. top 5 weights from each team count towards the award. SO you could have 20+ teams from your club fishing and take the top 5 teams weights, or the minimum number of 5 teams. Only one boat can have 1 angler to reach the minimum.

the payback is based on how many CLUBS fish- not team members. Your club fishes and wins- yall do what you want with the club winnings- and you get a plaque hung in Bass Pro SHops for everyone to see!

Who will STAND for their club?

All it takes is 5 teams and few good sacks to have your club forever memorialized. Picture your club name on a trophy for all to see at Bass Pro Shops. Think of the recognition and think of the exposure.

Ok bass Pro Shops has told me that they will allow 1 person per boat to fish as long as they will have at least five boats. That means if only 5 club members can make it then they will have to have 5 boats but can still compete. This is to make sure that smaller clubs will still have a shot at entering incase some of there members can't make it. I will do a club back ground check to make sure that a club dosent call them self's a club just to enter the tourny.

If they want to make certain rules like the federation did thats what they need to do. But they need to make the guidelines clear, and not made up by anyone trying to keep sissys happy.

ya know I am just messin with ya. right?!! the more clubs, the merrier... Besides, we all know the day before the tourney, and northern will blow in and drop the temp 30degrees in a few hours... those shallow water fish will be shaking thier scales off!
