We are planning a trip to Port A the end of March. Is this a good time to get into the red fish?

Thanks

Not sure how the fishing will be, but keep in mind that March is Spring Break. Room rates are a lot higher, and the island may be overrun with high school and college kids.

Thanks SouthPadrebum

So you think April is better fishing? Will the reds be running then?

Down in Port A over the Holidays.Fishing was tough even the guides were having a tough go.Had to deal with some serious wind issues and dramatically low tides. What luck we did have was fishing the deeper guts at the edges of the flats at low tide as well as the cuts leading away from the flats.Reds should be better later, now is a good time for drum and big sow yeller mouths over the shell and mud when it heats up. Dont bother getting out too early wait till the suns up and has heated the shell and mud. Reefs in the bay are a good bet as well.

LOL redfish in Port A is ALWAYS good fishing. Honestly it does not matter what month you hit it up.
