I am new to the catfish game. I have gotten a few here and there but I have never just gone for them. What is the temp for catfish to spawn or when do catfish spawn? THanks Steve

There are a lot of factors that influence catfish spawn. Species, latitude, lake conditions. But, generally speaking blue and channel cat can start spawning when the water temp tops 70 degrees. It usually happens in Texas around May or June. Spawning can occur at different times even in the same body of water.
