Ah, it is a never ending battle, especially in the summer.
Most of us fish leads of 3 oz or greater to keep our bait where we want it. There are also ways to weight down the line close to shore to reduce the chances of getting cut off by a boat, but it always seems to happen in the summer. It's amazing to me how many people look at our rods and go as close as they can toward the bank. I bet those wakeboarders don't like it when they get caught up in 50 lb power pro!
