Since the winds will be picking beginning tomorrow so I decided to go out one more time this week. I fished a ridge I had not fished in a while and it was swarming with fish. I arrived at 4:30 and had a limit of good sized sanides in no time. The wind was mild and the bite was steady but erratic depth wise. Fish were stacked from 25 to 40 feet. At lake depths of 25-30 feet they were about a foot off the bottom. In areas where the lake bottom was 45-50 feet they were suspended in depths from 25 to 40 feet. In massive schools, at times the slab would not even make it down and as soon as they would pick up the slab they would then slam the jig. I am sure I caught a limit on doubles alone. I kept a limit for a fry this weekend and well if the winds do not get too bad tomorrow I may go out again.
Oh by the way I am feeling better...
