Hey Guys,
Thanks for all of the prayers and encouragement for Bob.
Here is an update they did not take him until 11:00 this morning it is suppose to be a three hour surgery b/c one hip being replaced and the other was having core decompression done to it.

So it is 1:21 I should be hearing from the doc soon.... I will let you all know how he is doing in a little bit.

once again thanks for prayers and thoughts. Surgery is a hard thing to take especially if it is your first EVER!!!!!!

Good luck Bob. And when you feel up to getting back on the water, let me know. I'll haul you out and load you up in the boat so you can sit back, drink a cold one with one hand and hold a rod with the other.

Will keep you and your family in my prayers for a while, and good luck with the rehab. Don't know much about rehab for hips, other than the MIL having hers replaced, but push it as hard as you can tolerate, and then push it a little farther the following trip, or following week.

Hey guys!!!!!! I really appreciate the prayers and kind words. So far so good with this. I have an epidural (sp?) so I really don't feel a thing from the waste down. I will know more about how this feels in the morning, when they take me off the morphine!!!! So far the worst part of this is not being able to eat. I am starving!!!!!!!!!! I am happy the hospital has wireless connection, and a great friend who let me use this really great laptop!!!!! I will keep everyone updated. Hopefully I can get back in the boat by March, in time for the springtime blitz!!!!!

Bob, as part of your rehab, the doc will recommend a lot of walking and getting used to your now indestuctable new body parts. doing my part for your therapy, i got the trails along my crappie creeks all set for ya. the exercise will strengthen you hips and whatever else they fix, and consuming massive quantities of crappie that i will hopefully put you on to catch surely won't hurt anything.

God speed Pal!

All the best for a quick comeback

Too bad my nurses look like Nurse Ratchet!!!! Sounds like a plan to catch fish, but I don't know about a small boat. My hips may not be good enough for that. I might need a place to fish from shore in about 3-4 weeks. The crappie still in some of your "urban spots"??

Bob,
Do you have your X-Box with you? I know you'll go into withdrawls with out it. Don't know how that morphine will effect your play though.

we'll find some crappie from the bank, and if you got someone willing to chauffeur both of us in a real boat, we can still get after em in Cow Creek, no problem.

either way, we'll still get fish!

BB, I did not know you were having surgery! I hope you recover quickly and get back on the lake soon.

Thanks, Mrs. BB, for the updates. Once Bob is back in action, I'll cook y'all some crappie again just like we did on Texoma a few years back.
