Me and Tracy have been talking about having a regular tournament series either at the barge or a few lakes around the area. if we do the barge it would be the same rules as the club before it there which was the lewisville carp & buffalo club or if we did the random lakes we can do it atc style draw for pegs and such. right now i want to try to get a head count of people who would be interested and available in having a regular tournament series

If its during the summer and I can get a job, I might do it.

Let me know if this works out for you. If you can get enough people interested, & my business picks up a little, I might be able to help out by sponsoring a few events in some way.
Regards, & Good Fishin', LlindeX

well right now i am a poor college student in denton but when august comes im moving back home i would like to try it or start it in the summer but i want to get about 10 to 15 people in it. Llindex that would be excellent if you could do that. but if we were to do these tournaments we could have it at the barge like i said but i see how it restricts people from fishing the way they want to fish i honestly want to do it at random lakes its just that i have a 1 ton silverado and its hard on me on gas but ill try. A few lakes have been thrown around at me in the last few weeks and those are Lewisville (i dont know where we would have it), Grapevine (obviously Murell), Ray Hubbard (also dont know where) and Ray Roberts(no idea where). Please chime in on ideas cause i want to get this up and running around summer

i did not know that ssf thank you. im trying to set it up since a couple of years ago our club at the lewisville barge disbanded due to new jobs and such and people leaving for college. Me and tracy miss the taste of competition and i dont have the money to go to austin and fish. i also have no euro equipment but if anyone can help out with a sling and all such weighing equipment that would be great and i count 7 people so far id rather have 15 so just in case people cant make it we can still have a tourney. I will work on a rule sheet and such but i need people to tell me if they would rather have the barge or random lakes

i'd be in and as you know the Carp Brigade does this kind of thing I lot. Speaking of which, has there been a consensus on a schedule for tournaments this spring? I'm game for organizing another event at Ghostie.

I'd say random lakes cuz barge fishing is fun but different venues is more fun . Unless you plan on hitting all the different barges like Lewisville, Benbrook, Joe Pool

I'd be in for at least a few... of course it depends on scheduling and entry fees

i really dont want to go too high on entry fees ill say around 25 for entry and then everyone who wants can put in 5 dollars for big fish, big buff or big shad(only at the barge) i was hoping maybe two at grapevine in the summer while the bite is hot but the weather is to.

I hope your kidding cuz if not you will be highly unwelcome. I personally have issues with people who kill fish for fun and do not utilize the fish. I will gladly let you know my feelings and have no problem doing so
