There were 5 DFW area QB's on the field today for Bowl Games

Technically 4 played I guess

Chase Daniel SLC Mizzou
Grahm Harrel Ennis TT
Nathan & Casey Dick from Allen at ARK
Matt Stafford at Georgia

Pretty impressive for Texas High School Football.

After a quick search I found that more than a third of the bowl teams have a Texas QB.
The NC game features Tyler boy Matt Flynn.

Can you say Texas "seven-on-seven" summer football? One of the main reasons you see so many Texas QB's.

Nope...he is a really short one. I think his heighth is the reason he is not at UT or aTm. His name is Todd Reesing. I had the wrong school...he went to Lake Travis.

 Quote:
High School: A graduate of Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas... Was the 4A Player of the Year in the state of Texas as a junior and Central Texas Player of the Year as a senior... Threw for 3,340 yards and 41 touchdowns with just five interceptions in 2005... Also rushed for 750 yards and eight TDs during his final high school season... Ranked first in the state of Texas by completing 72.3 percent of his pass attempts as a senior... Named District MVP as a junior and senior... Was a first-team all-state quarterback in 2004 and third-team punter in 2005... Earned academic all-state and all-district honors... Led the Cavaliers to their first 10-0 record in school history... Led the team to district and bi-district championships in 2005 and the district championship in 2004... Coached in football by Jeff Dicus... Earned varsity letters in football and baseball... Earned second-team all-district honors as an outfielder in baseball... A member of the National Honor Society... Was in the top one percent of the 2005 graduating class at Lake Travis High School.

His dad is a UT grad and Todd wanted to go to UT. They did not even give the kid a look. It is my opinion that had Todd Reesing and not Colt McCoy been QB of the Horns, they would be playing for the NC.

PASSING GP Effic Cmp-Att-Int Pct Yds TD Lng Avg/G
--------------------------------------------------------------------
McCoy, Colt 13 139.16 276-424-18 65.1 3303 22 62 254.1
PASSING GP-GS Effic Cmp-Att-Int Pct Yds TD Lng Avg/G
------------------------------------------------------------------
Reesing, Todd 12-12 152.41 256-409-6 62.6 3259 32 82 271.6

While the differences might not appear that significant, remember that one less interception per game is huge. Couple that with the simple fact that McCoy is surrounded by much better talent. Kansas does not have four star recruits, much less five star talent. Also note, McCoys numbers represent one more game played.

OK , I new that wasn't the big kid from Austin Westlake , where did he go ? that kid had potential too.

I am a Long Horn Fan but I am not entirely a huge Colt McCoy fan, I was hoping to see Snead play actually. He ended up transferring somewhere else didn't he?
