You know the bcs folks cannot be pleased that a team that beat the LSU Tigers got completely embarassed in its bowl. OTOH, the team that beat tOSU was destroyed in its bowl.

Kinda makes one think that maybe, just maybe, the best two teams will not be playing for the championship, does it not?

This has been the weirdest year I've seen in all my years of watching college football.
Take Michigan, for example.
They lost to a D2 school then beat a good Florida team in their bowl.
Arizona State was PAC10 co-champs and get demolished by the Big 12's 4th placed team, they were never even close to being in the game.
And so on, and so on ...

Just goes to show you that the Big 12 may not be that bad after all.

Michigan finally played to their potential in this game, despite trying to give the game to Florida with the turnovers. Their defensive front was phenominal and offensively they were literally unstoppable....which I thought they would be all year. For the record, App State DID win an unprecedented 3rd straight IAA title this year It was nice closure for Carr...we'll see what Rodriguez can do now...

As for the BCS...whatever...it is so ridiculous that they can't come up with a 16 team playoff like all the other divisions. It sure would make for a more exciting and competitive championship road.

For any teams this year being in the BCS Top 20 was dangerous and being in the top 5 was terminal.

Hawaii is getting their arse handed to them in the Sugar Bowl. Kansas was the only other 1 loss team in the BCS top 10, aside from Ohio State. Michigan looked good today, but they weren't even ranked. OSU has a case, but so do a few other teams in the top 10.

I like the idea of playoffs, but then again, you could have a 3 loss team qualify, get hot, beat other teams, and end up on top.

It seems like things are not as uneven as they used to be. This year was crazy, but I think it will be interesting to see how next season plays out.
