how good is lake arlington for bass fishing? i work on a gas drilling rig off wilbarger, and its 100yrds from the shore of the lake. just never been on it in a boat, looks like the south end of the lake has some timber on it at least from what i can tell from the board (about 120ft up the derrick)

Another in South Arlington. I live almost on Lake Arlington, but have by boat slipped at Joe Pool. Need someone to teach me how to fish. Just got a liscence and probably a lot of gear I don't need and none of what I probably should have!

vansonbones, I try to fish Joe Pool a few times a week. White bass are my fish of choice and every now and then crappie. I'm in a white center console triumph 190 bay boat. If you see me out there stop and say hi.

I'm prob right around the corner from you. Boman and 20. I too visit arlington and pool. I usually use these lakes for just gettin friends on the water for wakeboarding/hanging out. But if I plan on putting meat in the freezer my lakes of choice to fish are LL, Tawakoni, Texoma, and Benbrook = in that order. Looks like we have a pretty good S Arlington group. Anyone heading out this weekend?

well i'm off 287 & Walnut Creek (mansfield area)... and yes it does look like we're getting quite a number of folks here on the boards in this area.... we should plan us up a fall get together of some sort!

Grand Prairie, just north of Arlington on 360.
Loved Pool for the last few years, but when most of the grass left so did my luck on that lake. Now I mostly fish Grapevine.
