Fished today on Grapevine and it was SLOWWWW

Caught a fat sand bass and a 7 inch bass that was it. There were more boats on the lake than I thought would be out today.

Did anyone else do any good?

Not me. I marked alot of fish. But they were always scattered. Not up tight like when they're feeding. I was out from 2p - 5p and didn't catch much. I was really surprised. With 3 straight days of warmer temp, bring the water temp up a bit and light winds, I thought that I would be on the water for about 2 hrs max with a limit. As Ron White would say - I was WRONG.

Cane Pole....keep your head down over there and come back safe.

I promise I'll leave a LOT of fish in Grapevine for you when you return. We appreciate what you are doing.....

I went out yesterday, but I just fished out of my slip at Twin Coves for a couple of hours. (too windy for me to take my boat out)

The birds were hitting shad all afternoon behind the marina. When the wind is strong from the south, a lot of the baitfish will get schooled up on the northside of the lake. If you head back out today, check out the Twin Coves area (the wind is out of the south again, so a lot of the baitfish should be pushed to the northside again)
