Seriously... Why am I catching all the Commons today? While packing up, I just had a 15#12oz. After seeing only 1 Carp yesterday, I now have 4 in the last 5 hours.

Chad,
Did you stay warm in the tent cot? Yep. I had a sleeping bag on the cot and another I used as my blanket. The moisture inside the tentcot made the walls wet. When the temp dropped, that turned into a thin, solid sheet of ice. It was surreal. Chad

Seriously... Why am I catching all the Commons today? Maybe the buffs had their fill and moved on, so the wimpy little carp moved in to feed on scraps.

To my knowledge, Terry Fishlock was the first CAG member in Texas participating in the FFF to catch a carp on the 1st. At 3:30 pm, he landed this beautiful perfect 20 lb. 3 oz common. Well done Terry!

When I fish at Emma in the winter I like to run my two electric heaters and break out the dvd players. Nothing like catching fish, staying warm and watching movies lol. Congrats on all the fish caught.

Chad, Which tentcot are you using? I've not had any moisture buildup in mine as of yet. With / without rainfly? I've slept in mine as low as 25 degrees so far, and no moisture issues. Also, this is your friend: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores...0003000_350-3-4it deflated and stays in the tentcot when folded.

I believe we're up to 3 as a group now.
Jason's standard tan, my oversize and whatever Chad has.
they're not perfect, but they have their place.

Eh, well, I'll just have to use the old tent for now. Or I'll just sleep under the stars. The one thing that I stocked up on when I still worked at Cabela's was UA cold gear and other clothes to keep me warm and toasty.

If you do that, buy one of those mountain sleeping bags rated for -30 degrees hehe, then you can sleep under the stars perfectly comfortable and make fun of all the people freezing in their tents. Lol.
