I'm planning on a guided trip some time this year, and can't wait. But anyways, I read all the "good" fishing stories on here so Now I wanna hear the bad ones.

What's the worst Customer, fishing partner, trip, or experience you ever had fishing.

(this doesn't only have to be for guides... What ticks you off the most on the lake?)

I'm at work right now... So its already started out that way.

Naw really though... we hear the good... but the bad are sometimes more fun to hear about.

In '92 or '93, buddy and I hired a guide in the spring. It was only our second or third year to fish Fork and the year before Bill Kells put my buddie on a 10.88 up in Birch. Bill wasn't available so we got some other guide at the last minute in March. (red flag) I don't remember his name (good thing) but he front ended us all day. I think he caught 20 and my buddy and I caught about 5 a piece with the largest fish of the day being about 1.5#. When we got back to the Marina he was telling a couple of other guides what a great day we had with a 30+ fish outing.

I know that the 'name' full time guides don't do this but it really sucked.

As good as some of the guides these days are... I doubt a guy like that would be able to stay in business.

WaxahachieRookie, I am at work today as well and it sucks! Been here since 6am.

No guide BUT a buddy of mine, at times I can't stand fishing with him! He knows everything about fishing in his opinion. At times I ask myself, why am I doing this to myself? He is a great guy but if you caught a 3# bass, he caught a 6# the day before...

I like fishing with them kind of guys..... I just keep quiet and let my fish catching skills belittle him.

Huckleberry, I try that until he keeps asking - 'Do you hear me' 'Hey, do you hear me'.. Sometimes I count to see how many times he ask before I say, 'Yes, I hear you'. I laugh at myself at times..

Most of the time it is more like this - YYYYEEEEEEEESSSSSSS, I hear you for the 50th time!

I have one. Let's call the man Bob for this little story. Bob and his wife show up from Georgia, very nice folks too. They had booked me for two days in May. This is a good time for the guides because normally you can find deep post spawn fish and your customers can catch them on a C-rig even if they aren't avid fishermen.

So the 3 of us are sitting on the edge of this hump in about 17' of water catching a bunch of nice fish and Bob goes to throw his C-rig out and hits me right between the shoulder blades with the 1 oz bullet weight trying to side arm cast. His wife yells at him and tells him he is going to kill me and to be more careful. I ask him to cast overhand and not side arm so there will be less chance of hitting each other. A few minutes later he hauls off and hits me in the back of the head, again with the 1 oz weight.

This takes me down to my knees and a knot the size of an orange pops up on my head. I was seeing stars. It is only about 2:00 pm and I had been fishing until 6:00 everyday but I pull the trolling motor up and start the big Yamaha. Bob says "where we goin?" I look at him rubbing the back of my head and say, "Bob, I don't think I can survive until six!"

When he asked where we goin I would have asked "can you swim"?

Rodman: I've been here since 6am too and don't get off till 6pm. So i know the feeling. I gotta friend thats the same way. Its like he lies to impress me... but after awhile I just start to call him on it, and give him alittle quiz over the carp he just told me. It's funny watchin' his brain backtrack and try to figure out how to lie his way out of it.

Now that is something I have started doing with him, I say this to him - 'I call BS on that one' and he just looks at me with this dumb look on his face. It is funny!

Another good one is over the Holidays I seen my Wife's side of the family. Well, my Brother-in-Law has really lost his dang mind on this one, to make a long story short. He tried to convince me that he shot a Turkey at 400 yards. My reaction was WHAT?!? You want me to believe that? I also added that I have been hunting way to long to buy into that one. By the time I left, I had him down to a 100 yard shot.

Rodman was the 400 yd shot with a shotgun---lol.

Now that would have been even better if he had said that, shot gun. He said he shot him with a 30-30.

IF I had been thinking, I would have pulled the old Lantern Joke on him.

He has no show but he does have a small (2 seater) plane that he flies around all the dam time. He was trying to get me to go with him to look at Christmas lights. I just laughed and told him he has lost his dang mind!

AW, King Tilton is here! You never did anything to me or for me! I am sure you know who I am talking about… LOL! When are we going fishing? I figured you would still be a sleep with a BIG HANG-OVER this morning! Did you party like a Rock Star last night?
