You sound just like an old Fraternity brother of mine, who luckily has now been sober for over 10 years. At one time he was drinking over a quart of Jack a day. His comment about New Years Eve was exactly the same as yours. I not goin out tonight--gotta give those amateurs one night a year.

I asked you earlier but think you missed it---If you lived in Nebr. City why aren't you a Husker?? If you were born in Ks. then you are forgiven, otherwise I hope all your grass is infected with every known insect and fungus there is.

Ha, just kidding, but was wondering about a Jayhawk from Nebr. City. Maybe it was just an interim stop in your youth.

Naw, grew up in Kansas. Lived up there for only four long years one decade running a golf course. Got really tired of ice fishing (though a lot of fun) and moved back down here. In 8 years I'll skip Ok. and just head down to Texas.

You'll be welcome because as the saying goes this time of year, "Nebraska and Kansas are nice places TO BE FROM.

By the way, when you were running the golf course in Nebr. City, did you ever run into a guy named Ken Dahl. He grew up in Wayne, Nebr. and has been course mngr. there for probably 20 years. Before that he was course mngr. at Beemer, Nebr. Long, tall guy about 6'6". Thought maybe you ran into him at some of your meetings.

Are you like him and probably have about a 3 handicap???

Yup, remember the guy. Played with him in a couple of meetings. He could kill the ball and if he could have putted, he wouldn't be in Nebraska. ;\) I played mini tours for a few years, but got tired of sleeping in the back of my '61 Impala. Don't play but maybe 8 - 10 times a year now, but still usually shoot in the mid to upper 70's with occasional good round.

Man, it's like you are reading my mind. My first new car was a teardrop 61 348/350 impala, muscle package, i.e. 3 2's, full race cam, 12:1 compression, 4 speed and positraction. I paid $3200 for that and saw the same one the other day on a street rod site I look at. Only difference, it was for sale for --------------$65,000.00. Dang, I'd love to have mine back.

Mine was a 348, hydroglide tranny, stock. Powder blue over white. That thing would flat out get with it even with everything stock. Put 160,000 on it in three years chasing tournaments. Replaced the transmission twice, brakes once and about 8 sets of tires. Good old ride.

MiBass, it's not a home, it's a club. The old pharts club. \:\)

Correction, it is the DISTINGUISHED old pharts club. And don't try and substitute the word extinguished instead.
