Had the chance to fish with JV4 and his Father in law Larry. First let me say you do not need to start at 8:30 am \:D Second, when SuperDuck calls you at 9:30 am and says he his on his way to the lake…. He will pick you up breakfast \:D \:D thanks buddy. Today was a great day. It was a little unusual for me to fish has late as I did, but when the fish start biting it his hard to leave. Started catching fish around 10:30 am and never really stopped for too long. Birds were working and fish were pretty deep most of the day. RedFin joined us also this morning in his boat. When I seen him I asked him if he brought his bass assassin kit with him and he did along with his dip \:D . I keep forgetting mine for some reason \:D I am glad he had them, that was my ticket today. We ended up catching 152 fish with 63 hybrids dead sticking \:D I myself caught 32 and JV4 caught 19 \:D and Larry caught 12.All the hybrids look nice and healthy. Super Duck and Ruben did well also. Seen a lot of TFF’s out today. SeaPro Todd was hammering fish today, one of his friends was using 2 rods \:D Gene C and Gene R were caching fish also. It was like a spring day. When we decided to leave we found more birds working on the N side. So we ended the day at 5:30 pm….. Long , long day but well worth it. Good to see al the guys out today. All fish caught on 4 inch bass assassins with 1 oz jig head and TNT slabs. Winds were light to 10 mph and water temp was 49-52 degrees. Fish were in 26-32 ft water. JV4 thanks again. Almost forgot, Larry also caught a 25 lb flat head..... we will be frying him up \:D \:D

Was in the water by 7:30 at Chandler's Landing. Tried a couple of places around Robertson Park area but nada then hit a spot on the levy out from the power plant and picked off two keeper hybrids - hollered at JV and JV4nitro and they came over to play. Got my 3rd hybrid right after they arrived. Had to lay the slab on bottom with a tight line for about 8-10 seconds then flip it over like a pancake to get a hit.

We ran back up to the Robertson Park area to birdsworking and JV asked me if I had any dead-sticking lures with me - thru some over into their boat and the hybrid bustin' was on big time.

Caught one dead sticking a sassy shad then switched to the Castaic Jerky J's and the magic was back!

Castaic Jerky J (5") on 3/4 oz jig head

Ruben and Super Duck showed up and joined in. Gene showed up later (Proline 19) - had a late day at work yesterday and looked kinda groggy when he found us.

Good to get back out on the water (last time was Nov. 3) with good friends again.

Did ya'll feel like you were being watched? Man I'm jealous! I had binocs out and thought I saw a couple of familiar boats.

Also, somebody needs to check the area just south of BPS right off those apartments. Birds were working the general area from about 12:00 til about 5 p.m.

One of my best fishing days in a long time \:D I've gain new respect for RH and also for JV JV and his crews were relentless and at the center of the boat shows as usual, telling and showing everyone around how its done \:\) You guys are awesome and made it look way too easy, kinda like fishing in a stocked pond hehe. For me, caught personal best 10 very feisty football hybrids and some monster sandies

JV, I'm shore glad I made a U turn and decided to fish RH instead of CC hehe \:D But will try CC another day. My camera happy "tourist" friend will email the pictures soon and will email ya the 25lb flathead pic and other pics once I get them.

Got out there about 2:00pm. I think I fished by you John & others on here and did not know it. I was in the blue Stratos 22ft wearing em out as well. Lot of boats and everyone used there trolling motors pretty good. I used a BPS Spin tail 30 fish with about 7 hybrids one over 5 lbs. I had a large assorment of lures but never switched but could not get em to hit the bigger sassy on the other rod so I just stuck with the spinner and it did real well.

Congratulations, JV and crew! You had an awesome day out there. John called me on the cell on his way home. He was really wound-up about their day, but I could sense the fatigue in his voice.
Please do not call him until after 10 AM this morning, Ruben. He needs his sleep!
Redfin, where do ypu get those jig heads?

PS

Don the Angle aint too shabby either, besides the hook in his back at the tourny, it was perfect. We still should have won that bad boy if we could have just caught that one giant magnum we needed. Fatty is getting the hybrid itch may neeed to get a line wet before too much longer!!

A great day, Rubbeee next time skip the Cowboy game! U only get a few days like that each year!!! Had a great time and thanks to JV Nirto for the ride when my trolling motor ran out of juice!

A quick note to all. Please take care when you kick SandBass off the deck of your boat into the water. I had very thick winter boots on and kicked a sandbass off the deck. 3 spines came through my boots and got my big toe good! Thought I had a hook in my boots \:\(

I will be out on RH wed, thurs, fri if the wind will allow it! Had a blast fellers. Doug Gibbons I will call you berfore the Oregon Ducks dominate South FLA today!!!!!

HAPPY NEW FELLERS!!!!

DUCK ME!!!!

Ruben, I can't believe you love the cowboys more than fishing! You can record the game, & watch it later, but you can't replay the fish LOL.

JV and JV4's "what da?" looks.. at the 25 lb flat caught by Larry \:D

Me finally caught some nice fish on RH worth braggin hehe.

This one is for Byron caught on 3/4 oz TNT. Cauth half of my hybrids on 2 oz and the rest on 3/4 chartreuse + lots of magnum sandies on 3/4.

Nice pics Todd!!! I like the one of you holding double hybrids Did you notice how close to my boat Super Duck was fishing? If you catch fish he'll roll right up on you \:D But, then again, it's easier for him to hand me a beer. Thanks Mike Thanks for the compliment Todd, my boat says thanks ;\) It was good time with alot of fellow TFFers. I finally got around to taking some screen shots of my graph recordings from that day. Take a look------

Dang it! John--you guys are killing me! This has been the week from HELLLLLL! for me.
I finally made it out about three( after I had to change out a garage door opener) and Yes I saw the boat parade about 2:00 from the shore but when I put in at Terry lane I didnt see any one in that same area so I thought it was over?( I must have been high from the pain pills) so I went south where some kid at the boat ramp told me he landed seventy fish the evening before
OH well--my tooth was killing me so much That I didnt even fish much just sat and soaked up a few rays and drank a beer to 2007!
Those graft pics are unreal--wish I had went north.

I WANT TO THANK JVNITRO FOR PUTTING ME ON FISH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. SATURDAY WHEN I GOT OUT THERE HE WAS WHACKING THEM PRETTY HARD. ALSO THANKS TO SUPERDUCK, THE JIGS YOU GAVE ME THAT YOU MADE WORKED GREAT. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST THANKS FOR SHOWING ME IN YOUR SEMINAR AND AT THE LAKE HOW TO SLOW RISE A SLAB, THAT PRESENTATION REALLY WORKS GREAT.

I WAS AMAZED AT HOW MANY BOATS WERE FISHING SO CLOSE TOGETHER AND EVERYONE WAS CATCHING FISH AND BEING CONCIOUS OF THE BOATS CLOSE TO THEM. EVERYONE WAS USING THEIR TROLLING MOTORS, THERE WERE NO OUTBOARD ENGINE BEING USED. THIS JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU WHEN FISHERMEN AND FISHERWOMEN USE THEIR HEADS EVERYONE CAN CATCH FISH WITHOUT SPOOKING AND BAITFISH AND EVERYONE WAS HAVING A GREAT TIME. THANKS AGAIN GUYS.

Gene, you are most welcome and I always enjoy fishing with you. One time here soon, we're gonna make a repeat trip to the Big Lake and get into some big fish

Don't worry Rick, those fish are going to scatter for a few days, but it will pick up again by Thursday or Friday ;\)
