"Academy Outdoors TV" is moving from the Outdoor Channel to FSN Southwest and Sportsouth starting January 5th. The move allows more folks to watch "Academy Outdoors" without subscribing to higher priced "premium channels". The show airs Saturdays at 8:30AM local time and again Sunday afternoons.

We radically overhauled the show based on input solicited from hunters and anglers. Naturally we think it's pretty cool but we want your opinion. Watch the new show and let us hear from you!

I have DirecTv and have all channels available including the Outdoor channel and have never been able to find it on the Outdoor Channel on any day much less Saturday morning or Sunday Afternoon. Am I missing something here?

Is it going to continue to be hosted only by Chad Brauer? Or are there other people in consideration to switch things up?

You'll see lots of new faces and interesting characters mixed into the show. Chad is the host but is not present in every episode. Our goal is to bring a guest into the show each week. The season of shows will feature Academy Pro Staff, professional anglers, and other pros in the hunting/fishing industry.

In 2007, it airs Sundays at 10:30am on the Outdoor Channel. Not a good timeslot because folks are in church at that time. The move to FSN starting in 2008 gives us two great timeslots so you can catch it Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons.

OK, got it! Did a TIVO on it and sure 'nuff, next Saturday its on. Thanks for the info.
