yeah, i know my picture taking isn't very professional, when i catch a fish i get nervous and all i can think about is putting the fish back in the water, tipical bigginer i know but what can i do, i would hate to kill a fish cuz i took to long to take a pic, but i'll take you pic taking advice, thank you

Well, I haven't been able to get out and fish lately, but here are some of my favorites:

The last fish I caught. This is also my favorite pic of me and a fish.

The coolest fish ever. This was on a project with US Fish and WIldlife on Texoma. I didn't rod and reel it, but it's still a cool fish...

A nice little largemouth

A day at "the office." This was a gator gar that was caught by a bowfisherman and we nursed it back to health and sent it to another aquarium.

Eh, I work with gar every day. They're the biggest babies of any fish I've ever seen.

Well, I try and respect all the fish, from the biggest to the smallest. It doesn't matter if they're ugly or not, some fish are just plain cool.

The first time I went to work with a gator gar, I was pretty aprehensive. We had some that had fish lice in their teeth, so we got in the tank and pulled them out. I spent hours upon hours diving with them in the tank, with my hands in their face and around their mouths. Not once did they offer to bite or snap or do anything but sit there.

MRS. FISHIST, I am just totally impressed with your respect for the fish and concern for releasing them in good shape instead of worrying about a proper pic. You are already a fine angler, and have the ethics that can be a great role model for the sport

Yes.She kept trying to hand the reel too me. I made her do all by herself. We took a buddy of mine and his girlfriend the same day and my wife and the other lady caught about five good hybrids. It was his girlfriends first time to fish. Within 5 mins she hooked one that snapped her rod. (Cheap rod) needless to say she is now hooked.
