Looking to get any help I can on fishing the bays in the area. I love to freshwater fish and not to good at bays. Any help would be great..IE: Areas, Tips, Style of fishing Techniques, etc.

Heading out Wed. in a 24ft bay boat with an open seat!!!

Get a hook and line map for the area that you are fishing. Look for areas about 3 ft deep and wade. Anything will catch them now when worked right. But for easier fishing try live shrimp under a popping cork. Don't let it sit more than 3-4 seconds before popping it again. THe louder the pop the better...

Plenty of places of fish at San Luis Pass and there is a park on the Freeport side of the bridge you can put in at. Plenty of places in that general area whether wading or boating. As specialK said, get a hook and line map at Acadamy. I surf fish down there quite a bit. Christmas Bay is one place I frequent but if you are taking a boat, I see a lot of boaters fish a lot near and under the bridge that goes over to Galveston Island. Good luck! Let us know how you did.

I work off the coast of Galveston I love to fish out there. I have never fish the bays. Chuckster is right allot of fishing under the bridge. Good luck
