Fished a little "T" out there a few years ago and did not do so good. I think it only took 12# or 13# to win (there were only 5 or 6 boats).

It was a nice little lake with quite a few boathouses and lots of vegetation (best I can remember). I don't remember when we went, but it was cold.

Ive fished it a few times. I caught a ton of fish. I stood on the boat ram while waiting for the truck to pick up the boat and pulled in 2 atleast 3 lb largemouth.

Do you have to own property there to fish there?

Yes, fishing is open to property owners and their guest only.

I grew up four miles from there and my grandfather used to own a lot there. We fished it all the time in the 80's. Was a great lake for fishing.(Crappie, Bass and Catfish) That was before they opened the west side of the lake to developement. Have not fished it since early 1990 but have heard the fishing is not as good. My grandfather sold the lot so I can't get access to it anymore. I may still know some people that live on the east side that will let me fish there. If you can get in it may be worth checking out. Not alot of people fish it because it is away from populated areas. It's a very nice small lake with clear water. There are alot of docks on the lake and some nice vegetation. Not to many timbers in it but is surrounded by some nice oaks and pine trees.

Parrish,

Sorry to inform you but 1750 grass carp and a chemical program have eliminated all the vegitation. Fishing has declined. Waiting for the carp to croak. I live here and mostly fish public lakes now.

You can now join the rest of us as we make our evening trip around the lake and talk to as many neighbors as we can every spring, summer, and fall day. It is fun, my wife really enjoys it.

Looking to buy a lot out there. How long ago were the carp put in? Really would like land or house on east side on the water, but will settle for a small lot to gain access.

There is a friend of mine who has a lake lot out there and the fishing has been great the few times I've gone. Very quiet fun lake.

We've gone out there the last two summers. My girlfriend at the time caught a 8.4lb bass on a buzz bait!

We put the grass carp in last year. We had our second fish survey done before Xmas and are going to meet with the biologist in the next couple of weeks to discuss results.

so are there any results yet. the fishing seems to be a lot tougher from last year, and the fish seems to be smaller to me.

I'm still considering buying out there, but am concerned about the carp messing up the bass fishing.

Results are that the overall weight of bass has improved( average weight was already in an acceptable range). Part of that could be because the bait fish have no cover which makes it easier for the bass to feed.

Biologist all but admitted to putting too many grass carp in. Grass carp mortality can be as high as 30%/year. Grass will come back eventually. The key is finding an equilibrium. We will get it figured out.

In the mean time, my brush piles ought to be pretty productive! Ain't that right Larry?

Not sure what you consider a good lot. I saw some off water lots for sale for $5000. I think 2 were listed with a real estate

i bought 4 lots out there last year but none on the water. i have only fished a few times off the bank and have yet to drag my boat out there. i like to fish structure so this lake isnt in my wheelhouse but the boatdocks and whatnot give me something to shoot at. i MAY be interested in selling a lot later on but not right now until i decide what i want to do out there. still havent met anyone but have had a few email conversation with larry and hope to meet him this spring. i really like this little lake but like what the others said, aint no grass.
