Well, It was simply a joke on the fact that there is not "One single big fish" that "lives" in that corner.

That corner is populated, explored, and and full of big fish feeding there or looking for food every single day. I'm sure it gets huge striper, catfish, buffalo, carp, paddlefish, gar, etc, all checking it out every day.

If you've hooked big fish there, it's almost certainly been different fish every time.

ohh ok well, i thought it was a joke but wasnt sure. as for the people who have hooked what i am talking about, they know about the big "FISH" in the corner that people hook up with when the generators are on. just looking for opinions on what it might be.

I try to stay out of the bank fishermans way as much as I can but I still have to run up close to the cable to make a drift. I can see why you would be mad about him anchoring up because it could cost someone a big fish but threats and name calling will get you nowhere.
Generation schedule for tomorrow is 6AM-8AM and 5PM-7PM
but who know what they will really do.
I will be there in the morning drifting if the water is on.

captain steve barnes, the thing that made me laugh was that he said out loud "I fffing lived heaar all my god dang life!"." I own this fffing river!". "You got a problem with me?!!" "You don't know who you're messing with!!!!"
that guy was a mean prejudice guide. I'll go ahead and thank ahead if you do talk to him.

I remember back in the 90s when the flood gates were on... this one guide decided it was smart to anchor right next to the OKL wall during pencil popper time. lol there had to be 100 people casting to the wall with poppers. all i remember was the sounds of "ding! ding! ding! DAMIT!". he was stuborn for a good 30 min until some newb caster hit a person on the boat accidently.

I know of many BIG ones in there. There names are ROCK1, ROCK2, ROCK3, AND ...... AND THEY NEVER MOVE! SO WHEN PEOPLE GET HOOKED on them and the generators are on.. the current makes it feel like the like is moving..... lol.

I am going to head out there tomorrow morning.. It looks like we have a chance of rain so it should not be too crowded.

I think the "Big Fish" in the corner that alot of people hook into (I even hung into it one day and fought it for a good 10 minutes) is the cable that hangs down from the small pipe that sticks out the side of the wall. When the generators are on, it pulls, surges, comes back to you, etc. Feels just like a big damn catfish the way it pulls. Closest I ever got to landing it was with my Penn reel on the 12' Tica with 80 lb. Power Pro...pulled it clear out of the water trying to break the line...then got scared that if the hook or hook leader broke...the weight would probably kill someone if it hit 'em.

got to the dam at 6am this morning...right when the water just release...it was a lil windy and oh so cold!! threw out 1oz jig and caught about 7 2-3 pounders...released them all (was waiting for da monster)....around 6:30 or so, rigged up my topwater...threw it out, nothing...again, nothing...did that for bout half an hour n finally saw some schoolies chasing them bait....threw it out next to them...nothing...so i waited for the next 1, which never came...then decided to just throw it out and test my luck cuz it's not hitting it top style...reeling, reeling, finally i saw 1 bait fish popping up n reel my topwater closer to the action, pop, pop, pop, WHAMP!!!! my bait disappear and my drag was going crazy!!! im thinking it's a 14 or 15 pounder being agressive so i took my sweet little time....let it run...reel...let it run...reel...after bout 5 or 10 mins finally got that mug in...IT WAS A FREAKING MONSTER!!! soooo excited!!! biggest fish ever caught in my life!!!! it was a 28 pounder!!! got da pix below...hope u guys can see it...the rest of the time, got another 1 about 10lb...my friend got a 15lb and a small 1...the other guy got a 13 and 15lb....slow fishing with topwater but when it hits, u can guarantee it's huge!!!! other than that, saw some peeps using jig-n-cork and they got pretty good actions but small outcome...hope this help any1 heading out tonight or tomorrow...

Man, I knew when I decided to sleep in instead of go striper fishing I was going to regret it. What side did you catch that bad boy on? That is a great fish; I'll be happy with anything over 5 lbs!
