Come join us for the Kast for Kids Bass Tournament that will be held on April 26, 2008 at Lake Lewisville. All proceeds from this tournament will be benefiting the Children's Advocacy Center for Denton County. We will be launching from Lake Park. Official times for the tournament are 6:30 a.m. or safe light until 3 p.m. This is a open team tournament and the cost will be $100 per team. If you have any questions regarding the tournament please feel free to ask on here or email me at LAdams@argyletx.com. If you have any questions regarding payment, please call Lori Nelson, CACDC Program Director at 972-317-2818 ext 223 or lori@cacdc.org.
Now that all that is out of the way, I am asking for a little help or a lot of help depending on how you look at it. I've only fished a handful of tournaments and am as green as it gets when it comes to hosting one. I am looking for a Tournament Director/Bass Club that might want to help me out with this. Or if you wanna just come on out and take over as the Tournament Director then that sounds good to me too! This will be a great event and I am expecting a pretty good turn out. I just want to make sure that it is as professionally organized as possible.

To my knowledge, kids under 18 can't accept prize "money". Now if they are fishing with a parent or guardian then that parent or guardian can accept the money and do what ever they want with it.
Honestly we thought about having a junior division as well for this tournament, but I am a rookie at putting on tournaments as this is a first for me. I'm just wanting to help raise some money for a great non profit organization and have a little fun while we do it. If anyone can think of anything different for us to do then by all means speak up....we could use all the help we can get. So far we have a few rod and reels (Zebcos) to give away, so maybe that could be an idea for the kiddos. If I am wrong about kids under 18 being able to accept money as a prize then someone let me know about that too.
