Started out some of the speed settings wouldn't work. Now nothing on the 12 volt setting works and only extremely slow and extremely fast work on the 24 volt setting. Anybody had this problem? MotorGuide.

sounds like the speed coil its a older unit right

it might also be youve lost the 12v leg check the connections

I think it is a "98" unit. what do you mean the 12v "leg" ?

well you have pos coming from both batteries ,they are switch from paralell to series inside the motor through the 12/24 switch if the lead from the 12 v side is off or loose you wont get 12 power and 24 will be slow if it works at all check all the leads pos and ground at the battery the plugs and the unit id bet ones off some where check the volts with a multimeter

Thanks for the response. I planned on doing such but wanted to ask before I started taking things apart incase there was a quick fix I didn't know about.
