Hi, I want to know what is the cheapest I can get on a Jon Boat or a Inflatable Boat. I will rarely use it and I dont have much room so I dont think I need to spend too much. I need a boat that will support at least 3 people, or around 500 ~ 600LB. I want to fish from a boat from a pond so bad!! Thanks!

look in the thrifty nickle for a 14' john boat. I have seen just plain boats going for less than $100, but you have to be patient and keep looking

Although it has some advantages in storage, the inflatables can become a hassle. And if you are wanting to fish three people, wallowing around in an inflatable can get real uncomfortable real fast. The amount of money that would be required to get a really decent inflatable that could hold three comfortably would likely be way out of the range of "cheapest floating boat"

I agree with getting a used jon boat somewhere. As long as its not in horrible shape there is a lot that can be done with some JB Weld.

Well the cheapest would be a truck inner tube, the seat off the kids swing set, and a pair of swim fins. I did it when I was lot younger than I am now.
I always wondered if you stretch a truck inner tube around one of those galvanized metal live stock water troughs you see at Tractor Supply--the long ones kinda shaped like a bath tub. Or maybe you could tire enough of the swim noodles around it to keep it afloat.
(Hey, it's 7:15 am. I worked all night and didn't a lot of sleep yesterday. I can think better when I am not so tired and sleepy)
