Texas Husker, thank you for the words of encouragement, glad your son is doing so great. Thanks to all again that have responded, it makes the heart feel good, to know people care.
I wanted y'all to have this info. Lake Fork Sportsman Association is having a raffle to benefit Brian also. They are raffling off a Remington Model 7400, 30-06 Semi Auto with a Simmons Wide Angle 3-10X44 Scope. It has a Leather Sling, Gun Guard Foam Padded Carrying Case. Retail Value on this gun and accs., is around $800. It is cosidered used, but has only been shot 12 times to be sighted in. It is in excellent shape. There will only be 100 raffle tickets sold. They are $20 apiece and available at Fisherman's One Stop, Oak Ridge Marina, and The Minnow Bucket Marina. Drawing for the Rifle will be held Jan. 13 '08.
The football pot for the car to benefit Brian, has been filled.
I don't have any updates on Brian right now, nor any more info on the tournament or rod raffle.
Thank you all again.

Just wanted to update y'all on what is going on. Brian was able to come home for 2 days over Thanksgiving, to be home with his family, but had to be rushed back to the hospital by ambulance Fri. night. The cancer on Brian's lung is small cell carcinoma, the cancer on his spine has a long name that I can't remember, but know it is spreading into his glands and lymph nodes. He has gone thru about 8 treatments of radiation, and has started chemo now also. Brian told the Dr.s to try and help him extend his life long enough to see his teenage daughter graduate. The Dr.s said at first he might have 6 mos. now they are saying possibly 2 years. I pray that Brian does not give up hope, and the Dr.s prognosis are incorrect. Like Texas Husker said, Dr.s prognosis and God's will are 2 different things. Please keep them in your prayers, I know they are helping.
For those that were interested in the benefit tournament, I believe it will be held close to spring time. Rick is still working on this.
There is going to be another football pot, held at the Minnow Bucket to benefit the family. This pot will be for the Cowboy/Detroit game on Dec. 9th. Squares will be $20 apiece, and the 1st qtr winner will get a Lake Fork Trophy Tackle kit donated by Mark Pack, 2nd qtr winner will recieve a gift certificate for a Moby "Custom Angle" rod retail value at approx. $150 donated by Dave Settles. 3rd qtr winner will recieve a $30 gift certificate to the Bass Lantern donated by of course the fine folks at the Minnow Bucket, and the final score winner will get, I believe it is '90 Suburban donated by Gary Paris.
There are still tickets available for the raffle on the Rifle, that John, at Fishermans One Stop has donated for this cause.
Thank you again, and may God Bless all of you.
Added on 12/8/07: The football pot did not get completely filled for the game tomorrow, and will be carried over for next weeks game on the 16th.

I again would like to thank all of you, for everything y'all have done. A little update on Brian. He got to come home last night, and he did go up to the Minnow Bucket this morning. I was not able to make it by, before he went back home. From what I was told, he was very happy to be back at one of his old hang outs. I was told he seems to be in good spirits, all things considered. He has lost around 25-30lbs. He has to go back for chemo after Christmas, and that, will be an every two to three week ordeal. I hope I will get to see him tomorrow morning at the M.B., and will keep y'all posted. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Nancy and Tiffany, Brian's wife and daughter has placed this in the Wood County Democrat coming out tomorrow, and thought y'all might like to read it.
"Thank you all for your generosity Dear Editor, I just want to thank everyone for their prayers and offers of help during this time my family is going through. Most of you know that my husband Brian Loggins was diagnosed with terminal cancer three weeks ago. He has been in the hospital ever since. I am so amazed at all the people that care so much and what they have done to help us through this. Especially the Edwards and Parkers they have gone out of their way to help, all the people at my bank and the fishing guides at Lake Fork. I couldn't begin to list everybody that has offered to help. So I just wanted to say thanks and God bless all off you. Nancy and Tiffany Loggins Quitman "

Brian, has come up to the Minnow Bucket almost everday for a little while to hang out and visit with his friends, since being released from the hospital. It is very good to see him up there. I know he is glad to be able to come up there and hang out. I am thankful that he is able to be somewhere he likes to be.
My wife works with his wife Nancy, and she gave her a copy of all of these posts on this thread, and she is very grateful to all of your prayers, concerns, and donations, as well as I am. Thanks again to all.
Wanted to let anyone know that has bought a square on the football pot at the Minnow Bucket to benefit Brian, for the game tomorrow. The pot did not get completely filled today, and it will be carried over for the game on the 16th against Philly.

I was supposed to die of Brain Cancer by 5 years old. Through a miraculous touch of the Lord I was healed. The doctors all confirmed that the Lord healed me. They couldn't do anything. I am 51 years old now. God still can do anything! Prayers sent.
