The guys just called me from weigh in. Team Sweet beat sTeam Elite by 10lbs to win the Matchplay Championship for the second year in a row. Congrats to all the guys. Thanks to Petro for stepping up and fishing solo since I had to work today.

Who fished the Matchplay Championship?What lake and weights?

Team Sweeet against Team Elite at Cedar Creek today. Sweeet had 34lbs and Elite had 24lbs. Per a poll in the matchplay forum Sweeet was an underdog by a 2 to 1 margin. Kinda like the BCS poll, it was wrong.

Not a cool comment. This whole Matchplay thing was based on friendly smack talking and having fun. Tubby was just picking at the guys and doing just that and it goes without saying that the guys on Elite are classy and dang good fishermen. No one on Sweeet would ever disrespect those guys in a serious manner and your comment is really not needed or appreciated.

It was a lot of fun, caught some fish, got some sunburn, ate some crow! Not a bad day, congrats team Sweeet ya'll truly Earned it, I am glad we had the privilege of competing against you guys. And thanks to everyone who put some much effort into making match play happen, it was a great experience I wont forget!!

A big Thanks to my Team Sweet teamates for making this a great year with another championship win and a really big THANKS to Stan for letting me fish with him again this year. I can truthfully say it was so much fun each time we went out because we did it for the fun of fishing and nothing more and that made it special. It was the only thing I was able to fish this year but it was a blast because I was able to meet people like Jody, Chad, Jim, Stacey, Billy, Randy and all of the other guys we had the pleasure to fish with and against. Thanks to Chad and Jody for running weigh in and all of the work you did.
Fishing was extremely tough but:
Fishing in November in 80 degree weather,
Seeing Jack, David, JVon's, Petro and all of the Team Sweet guys come together for another win,
Seeing all of the guys at weigh in that all have a passion for fishing have such a good time,
And winning money to pay for my family's Thanksgiving get together,
PRICELESS!
