Does anybody own an Aqua-Vu or similar underwater recording instrument. If so... what do ya think?

I think several people have posted on here in the past and said that the visibility isn't good enough in our lakes to justify buying one.

There are some videos on YouTube that show it in action in the northern lakes. It looks pretty sweet.

Water clarity is the biggest factor. Muddy water won't work but where there is decent visibility it is way cool. My unit has the red and green LED light and I can see very well at night or in deep water. Worth having to look at cover, etc.

I've got one. It works great on Toledo Bend. If you are on one of the muddy water lakes with maybe 6" visibility, forget it.

It takes some patience to drop the camera down and watch, but it is helpful to find out what kind of fish are down there.

Also, you don't get this wide view like you might think, it's more like a little picture.

I see.... thats kinda what I figured. I have a few clear water places in mind. It will also keep the old lady entertained.
