That is debatable...I would think "identical" batteries would depleat at the same rate.
If I'm not mistaken, the reason for
not replacing all batteries in a flash light at the same time, causes the stronger battery to attemp to charge the weaker battery, in which those type batteries are not recommended for recharge. Or if they were todays "rechargable" batteries, they would simply equalize, then discharge at an equal rate.
