i know all the big retail stores have them but in particular im looking for a minn kota riptide 55lb 3x steering with bowguard and a 52" shaft hand controlled.
anyone know of a place besides academy,bass pro,or cabelas that would save me a buck?

Hey Parker,

There is a trolling motor store over in East Dallas in the White Rock Lake area that seems to have some good buys. Their store is somewhere off Ferguson Road. I believe he has both new and used (reconditioned).

I cannot remember his company's name at the moment but I will try and retreive it and send you a PM when I do.

You might do a little research on the 3X steering. I hear of lots of problems. That big ol' handle takes up alot of room too.

3x are out of production except in the 12v models i guess the larger ones had too much torque if you can use a foot try ebay ,hand controls are hard to come by but one shows up every now and then

ive done business with allstar. they are good folks. thanks for all the replies everybody.
im not going the ebay route in case i have warranty issues.

ive been behind 4 3x motors 2 were good 2 werent. i wasnt sure what was going on. im starting to think i may not go that route now.
