I will bring a Camera as well as anything I can Con Donny Walters out of LOL... I will be there around 5:30am or so for check in and Livewells but I am a little confused on which Ramp is being used for this? Is it the Public Ramp just outside of Malakoff or is it Log Cabin? Someone clear this up please.

I'm coming from Tyler Hwy 31 to 198 in Malakoff then about 5 miles to the first bridge so it will be on the right and past the bridge before I get to the store is this the location?

PS.. Some mentioned a Side Pot... Is there any interest in this and if there is,,, is it limited to Sweeties and Elities only? Could be just a quick thrown together open with whomever decides to show up.
Small 25.00 or so entry fee and starts 5 mins after the sweeties and elities (if you are not a member of either team) leave and is over at 2:30.


That way you sweets and elites will have a 5 min head start and if you bring in the heaviest stringer you might get a bump in pay. Would pay 2 places... No matter how many entry's. What do ya think

i think there will be enough pressure on those fish as it is,with caba top 50 sat and ignition sunday,i guess you need to get ahold of Jack and Billy and see how they feel about it.

I'm sure they can post. It doesn't matter to me whether the small T happens or not. Just offering to run it if there is any interest.

Don't think Stan nor I said you could not fish, no problem at all if other TFFers or anyone else wants to show up and wet a line in a public lake.

The two questions that raise a little concern for me are...First, should other Match Play teams be able to fish against the teams that have earned the right to be the top two finalists...even in an unofficial "side pot"?

Second is Stan's point about putting more pressure on the fish and changing conditions for both Sweeet and Elite.

I think both would need to be considered by team captains before making a decision. And thanks for bringing Stan and I together

From the beginning I wanted to open up the day to "Grudge Matches" for any other squads that wanted to compete against each other that maybe did not get to during the season or maybe someone who wanted a re-match or the chance to shut someone up so to speak. There was not alot of support for this idea because of added pressure on the lake during the championship so I left it alone. I still think its a good idea and although we DO want to crown a champion, we'd also like as much participation from all of the match play members and for as many as possible to enjoy the comrodery and meet fellow TFF'ers at the end of our season.

I think I have an idea that might help. Get a Special colored tape that is different than the other tournaments going on the same day for the Championship competitors to display on the trolling motors. Instruct the rest of the TFFr's to give "right of way" (show of respect) to those guys if they are fishing an area. Now, on the other hand, if the TFFr is fishing a spot already and the Championship folks come in on them, I believe that it's just too bad for the Championship guys. It would be the same as any other tournament, you don't own the lake and you dang sure don't know all the folks fishing on any given day. First come first serve.
Having a big turn out for the weigh-in and crowning of the champs would be a really cool thing, and I hope it happens this year!

I'm just here to help, doesn't matter to me whether I fish or Take Pictures. I am going to try and find ya on the lake and take a shot or 2 if I can as well as many photos at the ramp before and after. I wish we could get a camera boat to follow Stan and Tommy as well as anyone else that went undefeated this year.

This Championship is a big deal and should be treated like it.
Just don't want the losing team to be the only ones clapping for the winners LOL probably could hear a pin drop

Agreed, This is the Payoff for all the hard work during the season. The two teams really diseve a hand for sure. I wish we could have done it up bigger and better. Oh well, well leave that up to the new crew next year.

Nah, I can see how you could think that especially with the smack talk of late. But for me, it has totally been in fun and I hold no ill will towards anyone on Sweeet or any other team for that matter.

IF we are beat I know our team and I know it wont be because we didn't give it our best. We'll leave everything we've got on the lake, and I'm sure Team Sweeet will do the same. I'd not only clap for them but would want to shake each of their hands...because if by some fluke they do win they'll have had to EARN it!

You know we got lucky except for the fact that if you put us on a strange lake Stan just gets up in the front of the boat, sticks his neck way out with his nose in the air and goes to searching. You know he can smell fish from a mile away. He headed us right to one of your favorite area's and we hung out there the whole time and the only bummer was that we both lost fish that night. Anyway that was a great time because we got to meet you and Steve and talk fishing while eating dinner. Looking forward to seeing you this weekend.

if yall really want to do a grudge match lets do it at the fund raiser tourney that Buda 13 is putting on the morning of the Tff
Christmas party.we can help out with the fund raiser and have mini matches against each team and so forth.

I learned the hard way back in August about having a set of back-ups. It won't happen again!

i know we had the same problem a couple of months ago,so we held a raffle and bought some new ones and sent the old ones to be refurbished.

Tommy and Stan it was great meeting ya'll as well. Didn't mean any ill will by my comments above..

I really enjoyed this match Play this year and look forward to next year.
