In this area I think the fish start moving towards the shallows late jan thru feb. Usually you will start seeing spawning activity in late february all the way thru april. It really starts winding down in late april and you will begin to see fish guarding fry alot in may. Can be a little different every year depending on the weather but I think that timeline is on the money most of the time. You will see fish pulled up on the north end of the lake first then the spawning activity will slowly make it's way down the lake as the water warms. Thru march there will be fish in the pre-spawn,spawn,and post-spawn on the same lake. So depending on how you like to fish will dictate which fish you will want to target.
