I went over to Lake Tyler today and got a chance to fish one of ETCBA's (East Texas Christian Bass Assoc) Tournament's. I must say I was impressed with the way Donny ran the tournament. The take off went really smoothly, he calls your number and off you go. The weigh in runs even smoother, the guys who took off first weighed in first at 3:00, the guys who were farther down the take off line weighed in at 3:05 and 3:10 etc..., that way no one missed anytime fishing.

If any of you guys want to fish a really well run tournament trail and meet a bunch of good guys and have some outstanding competition, I would highly suggest looking into this club.

I promise you, you will not be disappointed..

I would like to say thanks to Donny and his staff, for an awesome day on the lake and for a great experience...

I couldn't agree more! Donny is a great guy that knows what he is doing when it comes to running a tourny. Fished 3 of them and plan on fishing many more.

Considering I posted this last Saturday night, I figured I would give it a bump so guys who only get a chance to look during the week, can also see it.

I have only one negative thing to say about the tourney, I think we should leave at safe light every tourney not at 6am.

First of all I want to say thanks for expressing your concerns and that our ears are open to them

There were three tournaments going on Saturday (51 boats). I got with the other Director (Anglers-Quest)and told them we would go out first to:

1. Avoid a potential accident.

and

2. Get you to your "hole" without seeing a couple of other boats on it.

For now rule 23 says
"23 Take-off: ....begins at 6:00am or safe-light, whichever comes first."

This is a rule that goes both ways depending on what lake your on. Lake Tyler, where there are alot of night tournaments hosted, it is fine. Richland Chambers on the other hand I would have to disagree with it. With that being said, I am going to change this rule beginning in 2008.

Here at ETCBA we strive to provide what is best for you "The Angler" from start to finish.

We look forward to seeing you in 2008.
