I just recently bought a depth finder for my boat and I am now looking for a portable color GPS unit. In your opinion, what is the best unit for the money. I tried looking for reviews on the net, but didn’t have any luck. So now I am asking the experts. What do you guys think?

Thanks In Advance,

JJR

I have the Lowrance Expedition C with 07 navionics hotmap premium for fishing. It's pretty good and I carry it when I'm going in other people boats. H2O color is also good but didn't have extra feature that I also use for hiking and geocaching. You can also get Mapcreate 7 and load the entire US detail road map on 2gig SD card and use it as an auto gps.

i have the h20c and love it but like ninja said, the expedition has a few more features i'd like like barometric pressure readings. mine's on the console next to an x-18C so i can run both chips at the same time and use the handheld in the truck.

Well guys I bit the bullet and bought the Lowrance Expedition C. It works great. I was thinking of buying the Navionics HotMaps 07. What do you guys think?

Hey, by the way, does your screen scratch easily? When I first opened the package I noticed lots of fine surface scratches on the screen. The more I look at it the more I think I should send it back and get another one.
