My dad turns 59 tomorrow. He's retiring next year at the age of 60. He's single, and loves to fish and hunt. He's worked hard for the last 40 years. He's a great guy who doesnt drink smoke or dip. He's not mean or ugly. Most woman say he's attractive. He's financially well off. Id like to try and get him talking to a lady his age who enjoys the stuff he likes. He doesnt like to sit around much and prefers to be busy most of the time.
So, no expectations but if you think you would enjoy meeting up to fish or even talk on the phone to get to know my dear old dad than let me know. Thanks.

Yeah it could get exciting. I would love to pass my mom off on ya, but she's not much of a fisherperson. But the age is right.

Well Nathan, I'm single, don't know many that like to admit being in that age category but I'm in the neighborhood. I have my own bass boat and 15+ tournaments on my calendar for 2008. Don't remember ever asking a man his financial status before we started talking fishing. I LOVE fishing, would love to find an available man that also loves to fish....and dance. Nathan, are you sure your dad really wants a female fishing partner? I also LOVE a good cold beer and CW dancing, riding horses, and do woodworking. I've been deer and dove hunting. Only scared the feathers off the birds...a box of shells and 3 birds later....they were pretty safe. Hopefully you haven't put your dad out to pasture yet. =) You know it doesn't cost anything to carry on a conversation, I'm open. Send me an email. BJ

Good Luck LOL Not necessarily there Jason. at my age, the problem i keep running into is the women my age have been in relationships where there "x" has beat the [censored] out of them, and now all men scare them. I don't blame them, but i've never and will never hit a woman. that just aint right.

This thread is awesome.
Maybe we should get JP to start a singles fishing section. Of course, that is sort of an invitation for disaster...

You know thinking about this. Having a woman pro bass fisher person for a girlfriend would be AWESOME!!! i could finally learn how to catch fish. and a woman that aint afraid to go fast in a boat. how cool would that be. steve. p.s. i actually prefer to sit in the back of the boat and just fish, no more worrying about running the trolling motor and all that other stuff. trully would be cool.

Fish are like 2 year olds...they're always getting in to something. I love it, though. It's a good place to be.

Steve, I like your way of thinking about the age difference. I have a good fishing friend that's 50 and it doesn't bother him. I've had guys 5 yrs younger that have a hard time keeping up with me, especially on the dance floor. I never thought of this site as a singles net either...pretty cool!! Especially if it works. I have been married once (to a man 7 years younger than me), but divorced many years ago. I also dated a guy seriously about 4 years ago who was about 8 years younger than me. So I don't have a problem with that. I think a ten year age difference is not a big deal either way. I love to fish. My kids don't always want to go when I do. I will go alone if necessary. But when the fishing is slow it is nice to have others to talk to. Sometimes I just want quiet though. When you have teens you know what I mean. LOL. If anyone on here does bank fishing and would like a friend to fish with sometime, let me know. Sometimes I will go out of my area to fish. I will be going to the Atlanta area soon. I will be fishing with my brother though there. I also will be going to the Denison area to fish very soon.

i hear that. well said there kelkay.
i fish off my neighbors boat dock more than i do from my boat.
have caught one over 10 there, and lot's in the 5+ range.
sometimes it's much nicer to fish on the dock than fight the wind on a boat.

Steve I haven't had the opportunity to fish off of a boat since I was a kid. I wouldn't know how to act. I would love to get a boat someday soon. That way I can load up whenever I feel like it. I remember going to Arkansas River once as a kid fishing. It was on a boat, and we did a lot of trolling. I had a GREAT TIME. I don't like to fish on the bank in summer when it is HOT. To me hot is 90 and up. I prefer cooler weather. If I do fish in the summer heat, it is usually at night.

A few days ago I would have given you guys my wife's phone number. She loved to fish when we first met. I do not know if the change happened beacause of the kids or what. I think that she still likes to fish but wants to do other things too. I could fish everyday. That is one reason we almost divorced. When I was single I used to meet some single fisherwoman on the boat ramps every once in a while. Sometimes I would meet some that just wanted to go out and play. I used to know a young fisher lady whose dad once owned a place at Sun Eagle Bay but I lost track of her.

If I was single I would have already jumped. But, will certainly keep you in mind and looking for ya'll. You know the Hunting and Fishing show is at Arlington Convention Center this weekend. Maybe a good place to meet singles.

I would like to go to the Arlington show. But I have spent plenty of money on fishing stuff lately. I am thinking of going to the Denison Dam tomorrow anyway. Never been there...here plenty of good stories about it.

Great MsBass, I'll probably be the only female there, will be hard to miss. Don't know our booth number yet. Will visit your booth too.

ill tell you what, im 65, and keep kidding my self about being able to do what i want, when i want, and how i want, luckly i have a good son close and a daughter with great grandkids to talk to, but theres nothing to compare to a good womans touch or her fussing over you during good or bad times.the older i get the more i reilize what i missed by not being a better husban, to bad you cant pass that on to the young ones, i guess everyone has got to make there own mistakes.so ill probley go clean the boat, maybe call a friend and go fishing when where and how i want, but its not as much fun any more not comeing home to someone telling you, your late, you smell bad , how much did you spend, and put those dirty shirts and pants in the hamper, you know i realy miss that, so i guess the moral to my little story is you dont know what you miss untill you lose it, and if she was a fishing partner it would be that much better, how sweet it could be
