Haven't been to Cypress Springs or to Cypress Springs Marina & Resort for two years. Their phone number (903)860-2891 and web site is down. Are they still in business? If under new ownership, anyone know the new number? They have 14 nearly new cabins there and used to have a decent restaurant.

Someone finally got smart and tore down those crappy cabins that they used to rent. That was the most poorly ran place that
I have ever been to. Those folks did not have a clue about running a business. Someone needs to open a bait shop there that knows what they are doing.
Cypress Springs is a nice lake.

Well the big homes being built hits a raw nerve with me. I have to bank fish cause I don't have a boat. I have had so much trouble trying to find a place to fish at some of these lakes with houses dotted all around the dang lake. One of these days if you don't have a boat, you won't be able to fish. The bad thing is that even if you do, the ones with houses there don't want you fishing near their dock, their pier, their boat house, their land...even if it is less than 50 ft. It also spoils the beauty of a good lake when houses clutter the whole area.

i have also "heard"... no proof whatsoever, that the Walleye state park will be sold off in pieces to fund the rebuilding of the dam(the dam is shifting daily)

Well that would just be wrong. State land should never be sold in my way of thinking.
