I have put together packets for the bass club. They include
proposals for Bi Laws, rules, and consensus.
We are scheduled to have a meeting at 2:00 at papa rollos in Waco Saturday. I know a lot of us will not be there.
I can email these packets in a MS Word format. Please email me at robert.lovelace@tstc.edu next week and I will be glad to send them. If you do not get one by the end of next week email me again.

I would like to have another meeting later this year to cover the areas in this packet and start planning to start in 08.

Hope you local guys are interested and this goes well. And question please feel free to contact me at
cell 716-5569
or
Hm 836-4740

Decent bites on Waco Sunday. Fished from daylight till about 3 with 9 keepers altogether. Many fish caught with the biggest a bit over 16 inches. Looks like the fish are starting to bite. They still seem to be suspended but we did get a few texas rigging.

Derek,
I ran into a couple of local guys that said they would like to join. We are looking about 12 - 15 people that seem really interested in this club. We just have to keep pushing it.

Fished Whitney Yesterday. Man.
I was calling it the dead sea.
Caught 2 fish and if I lined them up end to end the would have almost been a keeper. Going to try again Saturday.

Here is an interesting By law that I saw another club talking about.

"tournament is a two day tournament, but only one day's weight counts"

That is what Stephenville does. You can fish either/both days for the one entry fee and take your best weight of the 2 days. That way if someone has a conflict one day it doesn't keep them from fishing. Alot of the guys get a room and make a weekend out of it.

I've fished a bass club that did that and there were alot of problems. I think it takes away from suspense and makes the tourn. less personal. If it aint broke dont fix it. Thats just my 2 cents.

That is the kind of input we will need to discuss. But I certainly see your point. I would rather have it on one day but I did like the make up idea. Provided that if you made up a tournament the tournament fee would go into the pot of the next event and you only get credited for the final record. That would give people a chance to fish if they had to miss an event.

I think either one of those places would be great to meet. The ice house is a great place, however I have not tried the marina. Just need a place, time, and date and we are good to go.

I can understand that, it has been tough for me as well. It appears the date will be the 17th I should be able to make it. What do you need from me to be able to fish. Are you all going to have a meeting before the tournament to discuss?

I am going to be at the Whitney tournament... I would fish Stillhouse, but I have to work. I actually just got back from my state championship at Lake Amistad. With a 40-45 MPH east wind on the day of the tournament, I was happy to make a Top 10 cut.

Derek,
Sorry I didn't make it to weigh in. Ricky has Staph in his knee and it started to really bother him about 11:30. He held on till about noon and then I had to take him home.
