Squaw Creek was a decent lake when we fished it during the nineties, some days were good other days were bad, just like most lakes. For those that never fished it go to lost creek it has the same type of structure.

Fish have NOT been stocked in Squaw Creek for TEN YEARS. Those that were stocked have died from old age.

Oh and if you did not get it, I am an Idiot TOO.

where is lost creek at have never fishied it or even heard of it

he said "Off the bank, and you have to beat the 5lbers off your lure."

Just read this whole spread about S.C. I loved taking my boy fishing at that lake. Now I have 2 more sons that may never have a chance to enjoy a lake that is so easy to catch fish in that it will keep a small child grinning from ear to ear. The nuclear plant is a terrorist threat, but so is any sports, concert, mall, etc. venues. I really don't know why TXU shut it down. It is true they own the land, but they do not own the natural creek that is dammed up. So, here is a link to land for sale. Don't know if it actually touches the lake but it would be worth some research to find out. http://www.landsoftexas.com/texas/index.cfm?Detail=&INV_ID=15931

My question is this. The entire country is linked by these power station and sub power stations,We can actually get electricity from california if we needed to. Wouldnt they have to get em all to stop anything? And when 911 happened there was nothing we could do to stop it because we didnt know it was coming. U couldnt stop someone if they wanted to get to the plant at Squaw Creek. I live exactly 1 block from the lake and have been in there several times, just to look around! Them not letting us fish it isnt stopping anyone at all! Theres a small creek that comes out and there is a barbe wire fence going accross the creek and thats it no security there! TOO Many places around there that are exposed. Its not like theyre really protecting the place you know.

Yeah the only place they have any real security except in the actual plant is near the intake--the rest of the lake is well....a lake.

Txu,Oncore who ever runs the plant now it was not closed for security reassons, well maybe it was closed at first for security reassons. The truth is the power companys are the greedest peolpe in the world and they want the lake all to themselfs. This is coming from a veteran and I respect the views of the people who say it needs to be shut down. I read lots of posts on the war on terrorism and they all fail to mention one think, these peolpe who are terrorist are cowards they have no real reasson for commiting terrorist attacks other then to cause fear. Their not trying to win a war their trying to make us live in fear and alter our lives. I dont care if the lake ever opens to the public again or not. Cant you see that if they dont open the lake you are letting the terrorist win because you are altering our lives. You are taking away a freedom that some peolpe enjoyed.

Ive never seen so many people spout B.S. like what some of you are. So you have a nieghbor whos brothers sisters son-in-law works in security huh??? This is hilarious!!! B Bassers I love your comment about the barbed wire fence and having been in here several times just to look around? come on man, I dont think yours are big enough??

Hey river critter In this country a law abiding person can go threw background ck to own fully auto weapons. We just want the option to fish for the fish our tax dollors paid for. Most good people would pass background ck and be willing to pay fee for it.And as far as security more eyes of good americans on the water is safer in my opion.BEN FRANKLIN SAID IT BEST those who give up freedom for security deserve neither.
