I look at the moon cycles more than the solar tables. The fishing is usally best right before the full moon. If you're going plan a weekend trip, why not do it when the fishings best. The cost of fishing is so expensive-gas, bait, motel-why not go at the best time to get your money's worth. I do use the solar tables more for night fishing when your not moving around. The local weather might have the biggest impact on the fishing. I try to be on the water before a front moves through and the pressure drops. This really makes the fish aggresive.

I can give you every assurrance that the soluna tables DO WORK. Fishing by the moon phases makes a giant difference. All you have to do is be where you think the fish are located at the right time of the day during the current phase.

2 days before and 2 days after the full moon OR the new moon (Totally black sky w/ no moon) is best.

Don't be fooled into thinking that the fish don't bite until the moon phases are good. They just bite BETTER during the proper moon phases.

This isn't an opinion, it's a fact.

I believe ALL of these things do affect fish.

That was a good question, bowfin. I've been meaning to make a post about that one myself.
