My son is in town for a work conference deal(he got promoted to run his companies tire wholesale business). If you've forgotten, my son had massive stroke at age 37. At the time he was a Discount Tire manager and making bank and seemed to be well respected within the company. After the stroke Discount helped with everything, they paid for every medical bill plus a lot more. Not sure I could have asked for much better from them. My son was able to go back to work and was able to sorta do his job, until he had another minor stroke. Discount even moved another manager in to help him. Well it didn't end well due mainly to his mental issues following the strokes. He just couldn't keep up both mentally and physically.
He and his wife packed up and moved to Louisiana for a fresh start and it seems to have helped. It's been several year and hopefully the worse is behind them and I'm so proud of what he has overcame in such a short time.
I look forward to seeing him every chance I can because for a while there I was afraid each time might be my last.
We're meeting for some wings and maybe a drink or two(I don't drink much these days) just ready to celebrate with him.

I hope you all have something to celebrate today, if not, please say a toast to my son Cody if you have a chance. Peace out.

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Discount Tire is a great company, I've heard many similar stories about how they take care of their people. Glad to hear he's doing better

The CVA is very rare at his age unless maybe he had a heart defect or blood clotting disorder. Hope the medical folks figured it out and he is in a safer place now. Brain injury sucks. But he appears on the mend and putting his life back together. I can read your happiness all over your post. God bless to him and his and also you !
