I figure the state will wind up with it no matter what given the mess @ Fairfield. No private investors will want to go down that road.

It’s Deja Vu all over again, same realtor, similar price tag and pushing water rights. I wonder why the power company didn’t invest in $5000 worth of Kinko signage like Todd did and go ahead ask for $418 million? I think the least we at TFF can do, is out bid the next snake oil salesman for the grand champion steer at the Titus county fair.

Is anyone taking bets on how bad TPW might screw this opportunity up?

This is not Fairfield but its an interesting area. The state does have a state park just a couple miles away on Bob Sandlin.
According to the listing the property has over a mile of shoreline on Bob Sandlin. It has 18 small lakes from just over an acre to 43 acres on the largest lake. No mineral rights but it does have several springs on the property.

I do not necessarily think the state will bid on this because of its remote location and the proximity to other similar and larger lakes close by.

The Monticello mines property are where TPWD has Lake X. The lake is/was using for experimenting with growing Sharelunkers. There were several “Professional” fishermen that got to fish the lake

Nice bit of knowledge. Too bad I'm even more short than the guys before me or I'd be all over it.

Well one thing is for certain. You guys either need to ask for your share of the however many billion surplus the state has, 32B, back in your pocket in the form of a tax return because they stole more money from you than they needed, or you need to demand that they purchase Monticello, call it the cypress springs sp expansion.
