I've had two shotguns for about 25 years. Honestly I don't really remember how I acquired them. I'm assuming someone owed me money for some work I did and I took them lieu. Both single shot with gold triggers. One is a 12 gauge with a 22" barrel, the other is a 410 with a 12" barrel. The 12 gauge I would rate of a 1 - 10 scale at about a 7 or 8. No hickies in the stock or barrel, but a tiny bit of wear on the finish of the stock at the butt end. The 410 is about the same on the wood, but the barrel is marred up pretty bad. Cosmetically I would give the 410 probably a 3 or 4 out of 10 because of the barrel. Inside of both barrels looks very good, and the mechanicals seem good as well, but I haven't shot them in forever. I'm not exactly sure what either are worth. There seems to be a great bit of difference on prices. I got on Winchester's website to look up the serial numbers. All that I've read said they don't have one. But you can clearly see a stamped number on both guns. If it's not a serial number I don't know what it would be. I'm looking for a good used 12" HDS Lowrance in trade for both. I'm assuming that the price for both would be between $800 and $1200, but I'm just going off what I've seen. Offers are welcome.

That Model 37A was only made from 1973 to 1979. It looked so familiar and now I know why. It's the first gun I ever bought with my own money. I saved up a summers worth of grass cutting money and bought that very gun in 1976 at the ripe old age of 13. I asked my dad to take me to Steinbergs in Baton Rouge, but I didn't tell him why. When I dragged him to the gun counter and asked the guy for the single shot 12, my dad was skeptical. When I pulled the money out of my pocket, my dad realized why he was there. I know he was crazy proud. I killed a ton of squirrels with that golden triggered gem. I lost track of it after I joined the Navy, pretty sure a family member stole it from my parent's house and sold it.

For what it is worth I bought one in 16 Ga about 5 months ago for $120. I'm not sure that either of these would be worth more than that considering you can buy a new 12 ga or 410 single for around $200. Just sayin...
