My Dad served in WW2. He even admitted (RIP) he had the easiest job in the Air Force. He was a weather man stationed in Hawaii. He was legally blind in one eye so he was limited in how he could serve. He says the hardest part of his job was they would rotate to work on damaged planes at Hickam field to strip off any useable parts. First to go was guns and ammo, then tires. Any other parts were scavenged by mechanics.
My brother served in the Air Force for 24 years. He was never overseas other than Turkey for two years.

Grandpa in ww2 Me in kosovo and iraq Thanks for going, when you didn't have to. Old pharts like me appreciate that there are still some around with the huevos to go.
