Not true at all. It’s a massive struggle to put together 50 for corporate trips. Pulling guides from other lakes and guys out of retirement

Poor Fork and all of the decisions made by anyone besides fishermen didn't help. They had a gem, the best in the world and they just kept doing dumb stuff. Killed grass off that killed the original stocked bass along with it and blamed a virus that just so happens has never done anything like it since then. There are a ton of older guys with 12 plus pounders on the wall and it is the actual fish they caught, and it just kept getting better back in the day even with people keeping large numbers of giant bass. Then the "virus" happened. It came back strong in the early 2000's with the return of grass in a lot of areas. Not what it was in the 80's-90's but man it was fun.

Then came that Pipeline

Now it better be the right day, with perfect conditions. Yes a pro can go catch them but 20 yrs ago if you could just cast well you were going to catch them.

Wonder if the locals know the days it is pulling water, has to be part of it. Few years back we had an incredible day, like old fork, followed by 6 days of suck. Now I wonder if the first day there happened to be no water flow.

It was its own economy, would meet people from all over the world. Everyone just happy to be there, not over complicating it all and every cast was another chance at the fish of lifetime.

my brother owned Rolling Fork RV park and he and Joe Axton were friends.I had met Joe a couple of times when visiting my brother ....When my mother passed away in 2003,we needed 4 rooms 2-3 days for family members at Joe's motel ....at that time, rooms were nice and Joe absolutely refused to take any payment....a really nice gesure...R.I.P.
